Mistake? No such things, only happy accidents. (as stated by parents when asked if I was on purpose)

To start off I would like to apologize for the blurred edges point out the blurred edges in the photo, it was all on purpose; you know, artistic choice, so as to contrast the very symmetric and sharp edges of the building. I will however like to say that one of the biggest flaws (if not the only) in this photo is that this is an architecture photo however I was not able to avoid the clouds being in the reflection of the window. I still feel as if it adds character to both the picture and the building; Its like the building is dreaming about being a plane or if it was just simply imagining grandiose things, maybe reminiscing on the greatness that has happened inside it. I guess the better answer is that it is not really doing any of those things, as it is an inanimate object, cant help but to let the imagination run wild...

Heartbrake hotel

As I was developing this picture I was listening to a classic "Heart-brake Hotel" interpreted by a great artist (Hanni el Khatib). It made me feel oddly reminiscent as if I once experienced such loneliness experienced by the singer. However the picture itself was of what I believe to be a donut shop, if I remember correctly I think it was Voodoo Donuts; I took the picture of the shop mostly due to the fact that it was ridiculous how long the line was and how willingly the people waited for what I can only guess to be hours. It was mostly out of a skewed vision of cynicism that the picture was born out of.
Brick walls however seem to always have a great outcome with pictures.

I can't say that I would not be afraid to enter this place, but strangely enough I can't help but to feel compassion for a place that reminds me of what I once called home. Its a common sight in Mexico to see an abandoned warehouse with its roof broken from years and years of acid rain corroding it little by little. Houses used to be made like this in some of the slums in Mexico, not made to last but to protect if only for a few years; and some families were just fine with this, after all we never knew there was better things out there and that the way we lived seemed impoverished by other standards. It all seems strange to me, to think I would have grown to love the place I once wanted to leave so  fast. I guess I can relate to Dorothy, no matter what you have endured through, there is no place like home.

Sidewalk..ish

Something that goes without ever being noticed, you use it every day, know it or not; it is a very reoccuring part of our lives yet we never pay much attention to it. It is beneath most our moves, and it never gets any attention. Are we the sidewalks of something bigger, such as society?... Ok I give up, Sure the sidewalk is nice but the centerpiece of the photo are the traffic instruments, I don't really understand why I wanted to take this picture myself, I just felt nostalgic as I saw this scene pass by, I thought to my self, "has this happened before? It feels like a distant memory, of a generation past, like it was once in an album cover of a band in the rock eras." It however is what it is, interpret it as you may, it is a small window in time that in all likelihood will never happen in the exact same way.
